How do you want to claim charging?

Charging at home or at public stations? You can claim the electricity back from your lease budget, just like fuel.

Best if you charge at home. We pay you 5.47c for every km you drive, the ATO rate from 1 April 2026. It's a flat rate, so it allows for public and free charging too, based on kilometres rather than receipts.

Only paid charging at home or at public stations counts. Free charging at work or the shops gets nothing back.

Claiming in the app

Each month, send the kWh charged, your electricity bill showing your rate per kWh, and receipts for any public charging.

Plug-in hybrid?

Both methods only cover kilometres driven on electricity. Either way, you'll need odometer readings, fuel receipts and your car's hybrid fuel economy figure.

One method for the whole FBT year

FBT is fringe benefits tax, and its year runs 1 April to 31 March. You can switch methods at the start of the next one.
