How does Novated Leasing the
Cadillac LYRIQ
work?
Novated Leasing is a form of salary sacrificing.
Normally, you'd pay for car costs (like finance, insurance, fuel, etc) from your bank account, once you've received wages. However, when you receive wages, they get taxed.
With Clear Lease, your car costs (like fuel, maintenance & insurance) come straight from your payroll before they have a chance to get taxed.
Tl;dr: you get a discount on any car related costs, and a hefty discount if it's an EV. Most clients get a 10-30% take-home pay rise just by salary packaging their car.
Without Clear Lease:
1. You have a salary, let's say you make $60/hour.
2. As soon as the wages get paid to your account, they get taxed. You pay $14/hour in tax.
3. You receive your post-tax pay of $46/hour.
4. You only receive $46/hour of purchasing power to make car payments with.
With Clear Lease:
1. You have a salary, let's say you make $60/hour.
2. Your payroll directly pays for car expenses, before the remaining wages get paid to you. That means the full $60/hour is going directly toward the car, untaxed. As a salary packaged item, the car itself is also GST-free.
3. The car payments have been taken from your wages before they had a chance to get taxed. Because your 'taxable wages' are lower, your tax is also lower.
4. With tax savings, most people get a 10-30% pay rise on take home pay by salary packaging their car.

I thought I had lost faith in Lease Companies all together as my previous experience with another company. A work colleague mentioned try Clear Lease. Well I have to say it’s the best move I made. Regular communication, actually reply to emails and phone calls and constant follow up. Special mention to Yul Kim, absolute gun! Would only recommend this lease company and good old fashioned customer service throughout the whole process. Bloody legends!

This is the first time I've ever had a car lease, and due to the experience that I've had with Clear Lease I don't think I'd go back to traditional car purchasing. From day 1 they explained everything clearly, and they weren't troubled if I came back asking the same question to get my head around things.
